25,000
viruses stopped dead cold before reaching email readers
Reading,
Pennsylvania, August 28, 3003, thanks to having implemented virus
scanning of email at the mails server level on August 7th
of this year, Dynamic Net’s customer base of approximately 500
clients hosting over 1,000 domain names internationally were
protected against MBlast and the Sobig worm that downed various
companies over the world.
During last
week’s Sobig.F attack, Dynamic Net’s Parallels H-Sphere mail servers
blocked 25,000 virus from reaching the in boxes of its customers;
approximately 23,000 of those virus were of the Sobig.F variant.
Over the
past eight years, Dynamic Net has taken an aggressive, proactive
stance on security and the value of its customer’s time. SPAM
prevention techniques were put into place on July 11th
of this year, and now Dynamic Net customers get 1,750,000 less
SPAM messages per week.
Peter M.
Abraham, CEO of Dynamic Net recently stated, “Security, which
includes virus protection, must be done in layers, be proactive,
and be fluid. Changes often occur daily, and a customer centric
provider must be ready to move quickly. Our customer’s time is
too valuable to waste.”
During last
week’s “worm week” as its been recently called in the industry,
none of Dynamic Net’s customers were infected by the virus
through emails that came through Dynamic Net’s Parallels H-Sphere mail
servers.
