Fall Migration Savings
Did you know this is our tenth year in business?
God has blessed us so much over the past ten
years in our personal and business relationships,
with solid partners, good employees, loyal
customers, and work to keep us busy.
Those of you who have been our customers over the
past ten years know that we increase the value of
our hosting plans as we are able to do so; and we
are among the few in the industry who do not
oversell our services.
The migration of our UNIX-based shared hosting
from three-year old servers to brand new servers was
completed late on Thursday, August 25, 2005.
For the geek in all of us, the new servers are
Dell PowerEdge 2850 rack mounted servers with dual
Xeon 3 GHz CPU's with 2 GB of DDR2 RAM utilizing
hardware RAID-5 with 73 GB 10K RPM SCSI drives.
RAID-5 with 73 GB drives effectively increased the
overall storage space on each server from 73 GB to
146 GB.
Due to the increased disk space and lower
bandwidth costs, we have increased the resources of
all of our shared UNIX-based hosting plans as follows:
- All e-mail only plans have had their disk space
allotment tripled.
- All other shared UNIX hosting plans have had
their disk space allotment doubled: Professional
from 250 MB to 500 MB, Corporate and E-Basic from
500 MB to 1,000 MB, E-Pro from 700 MB to 1,400 MB.
- Bandwidth on each shared UNIX hosting plan have
also been increased: Professional from 7.5 GB to 10
GB, Corporate and E-Basic from 12.5 to 15 GB, and
E-Pro from 15 GB to 20 GB.
- The price of additional bandwidth has been
reduced from $5.00 per GB to $2.50 per GB.
- The price of additional disk space has been
reduced from $0.50 per MB to $0.25 per MB.
- The price for dedicated IP addresses has been
reduced from $4.00 per month to $2.00 per month per
IP.
- We've increased the number of custom DNS records
per shared UNIX hosting plan by two (2).
- We've increased the number of email resources on
the Professional Plan from 20 to 50.
- Each shared UNIX hosting plan can now have one
additional alias / pointer at no charge as part of
the plan.
- Each shared UNIX plan now has one more
additional mySQL database they can set up; as well
as one PostgreSQL database.
While these changes are effective immediately,
you may have to adjust your control panel (change
quota et al) to reflect these changes. We've
already gone into the heavy resource customers and
made these changes for you.
Should you log into your control panel, and see
disk space quotas or traffic quotas lower than
advertised, please contact our support department
with your user ID and domain name.
Thank all of you for your patience and support
during this migration to brand new servers and
equipment.
May God bless you.
