Moving towards SMTP Authentication to reduce spam Part III
By Peter M. Abraham
June 2005
If you are a shared hosting customer on our Parallels H-Sphere platform, we need
you to start changing your email programs -- Eudora, Microsoft Outlook and
Outlook Express, Netscape, and other -- to use SMTP Authentication to send
out email.
Please take a moment to find your email program below, and review the
settings that need to be changed.
Please make this changes over the next few weeks.
On July 11, 2005, we will be flicking the switch (so to speak) to turn
off POP before SMTP authentication so that only SMTP Authentication will
work to send out email.
Thank you. |
